Description: Everyone who goes to the Bund in Shanghai takes pictures of Pudong. Indeed, I’d wager that more people take pictures of Pudong than take pictures of the Bund.
The iconic building on the left is the Oriental Pearl Tower (Dōngfāng Míngzhūtǎ, 东方明珠塔). Gaudy and impractical, it somehow sums up the spirit of Shanghai better than the remaining “historic” buildings.
This is a 180° panorama.
The boat traffic on the river is quite light. I was lucky, as too many boats would have made the panorama impossible to make without either ghosting or a lot of Photoshop work.
Location: Pudong (Pǔdōng Xīn Qū , 浦東新區), looking across the Huangpu River (Huángpŭ Jiāng, 黃浦江) from The Bund (Wàitān, 外灘), Shànghǎi (上海市), People’s Republic of China (Zhōnghuá Rénmín Gònghéguó, 中华人民共和国)
